There are two airports in Hainan Island: Sanya Phoenix Airport in the south and Haikou Meilan Airport in the north. There are direct flights available from most cities of China to Sanya and Haikou. If you can't get the direct flight to Sanya from your departure city, you could take flights to Haikou. It takes 3.5 hours by bus from Haikou to Sanya.
