As a trunk-line of domestic airport, Haikou Meilan AIRPORT is covering an area of 583 hectares. The flight areas facilities meet the 4E standards as required by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is designed to service the landing requirement of large aircrafts, such as: Boeing 747-400. Additionally, auxiliary facilities, including parking apron and services infrastructure, also meet the requirement of international level.

Please note that all the check in counters at Haikou Airport close 45 minutes before the flight time. So you need to leave for airport 2 hours before your flight if you stay in Haikou and at least 6 hours from Sanya by private car/taxi or 7 hours by public bus.
