Road Transportation in Haikou Hainan Island by Taxi or Bus

1. By Train/railway to Sanya Hainan Island China:
Would be good for travelers with enough time and want to see more on the way, also to experience China's first cross-straits passenger rail link from Hainan Guangdong Provice to Haikou Hainan Island

2. By Ferry/Boat to Sanya Hainan Island China:
Hainan is the second largest island of China after Taiwan (Though you may don't think so, but it is what written in our textbook). So traveling to Haikou and Sanya by ferries from Beihai, Guangzhou and Hai'an are the most inexpensive ways. Though flying is the easiest way, but still some guests would prefer to travel by ferry. But personally, I don't suggest a trip by ferry as the poor conditions and services on the ferries and they depend on too much on the weather especially during the typhoon season (July-October)

For your information, the ferry from Shenzhen to Haikou was cancelled. The only way from Shenzhen to Haikou, Hainan Island is flying. Please check out here the flights from Shenzhen to Sanya, Hainan Island. There are more flights available daily from Shenzhen to Haikou, Hainan Island.

3: By Buses to Sanya Hainan Island China:

Though you could travel to Haikou & Sanya, Hainan Island by buses from some cities of China, but it is really a hard journey. So we don't recommend this transportation. It is not fun to sit in the over 12 hours with closed windows.

4. By Flights to Sanya Hainan Island China:

As a port city, 90% of the visitors arrive Haikou Hainan Island and Sanya Hainan Island by Flights. Haikou is the capital city of Hainan Island. So there are more flights to Haikou than to Sanya, the beach destination of Hainan Island. 

Sanya is the highlight for your holiday on Hainan Island. If there is no direct flight from where you stay to Sanya, we would suggest transit flight via Guangzhou. There are more than 10 flights daily Guangzhou ---Sanya. It takes 3-5 hours from Haikou to Sanya by private car, taxi or bus.
