The new express train from Haikou to Wanning or Sanya to Wanning

Hainan Island Wanning Le Méridien Shimei
Bay Beach Resort & Spa started business from late 2008, but we
didn't recommend this hotel as we know it takes around half a
year for a new beach resort to get into good order, that's why
we visited Hainan Island Wanning Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach
Resort & Spa on May.6th, 2009 after a short trip to Monkey Islet
with a nice Brazilian girl. The first impression at the
entrance is: it is another
Sheraton
Sanya! But when we walked into
the lobby, it is different from
Sheraton
Sanya. It is open, quite with
gentle breeze. The beach is very close to the hotel lobby across
a nice pool with beautiful umbrellas. We checked the
rooms, all the rooms are very spacious (at least 50 sq.meteres),
no smell as a new hotel (which I liked it very much). There is a
big sofa in each room which is good enough for an extra bed.
Bathroom is also very nice, very spacious with natural light.
Le Méridien Shimei
Bay Beach Resort & Spa is located on an isolated beach, so you
can't find any local restaurants or shops within walking
distance.
Who should stay in this Resort:
As it is 90 minutes
driving from Sanya and the only resort on Shimeibay managed by
Starwood Hotels & Resorts, I would recommend Hainan Island
Wanning Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa to any one who
is looking for a real quite, isolated beach resort, someone who
really wants to be away from the crowd in Sanya. It is a pity
that they don't have suite with 2-3 bed rooms, but connecting
rooms available for family with kids. It is also a nice choice
for golf players with 4 clubs around within 20 minutes driving from Hainan Island Wanning Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa.
What to do here:
Besides beach and
pool, there are a lot to do during your stay in Hainan Island
Wanning Le Méridien Shimei Bay Beach Resort & Spa: Water Sports,
Spa, Cycling, Wind surfing, Reading.... or just lying on the
beach with your favorite novel. There are 6 different
restaurants and bars in Hainan Island Wanning Le Méridien Shimei
