Here are terms and conditions to rent a car in Sanya Hainan Island:

1. A copy of your passport, Chinese driving license is a must.

2. Insurance covers damage and risks to the driver, passengers and others up to 80% of the total cost if you are responsible for the accident. Then the driver has to pay 20% off the total cost. If the car got damage and can't be rented for a period, then you have to pay the rental company 50% off the daily rental * days can't be rented.

3. Never drive the car out of Hainan Island.

4. Rentals are per day for 24 hours, limited to 400 KM/day

5. Contract available only in Chinese for the moment.

6. Major credit cards are accepted for deposit.

7. Pick up or Delivery at Sanya Airport costs RMB50/way.

8. 20%-50% supplement for all Chinese and International Public Holidays

9. Please make reservation as least 48 hours in advance and subject to availability and final confirmation.

10. A deposit of RMB1000 will be kept by the rental company and returned to your debit card or bank account 45 days after if no bill comes from the local police.
