If you want to go downtown Haikou by bus from Haikou Meilan Airport, but the shuttle bus is far away from where you want to go, please take bus no. 21 and 41 at RMB5/person.

By Bus:

First by Bus No.21 to 187 Hospital, then taxi within RMB10/way to Haikou Southern Bus Station on Longkun South Road.

By Taxi:

It costs around RMB60/way from Haikou Meilan Airport to Haikou South Bus Station  within 40 minutes.

South Bus Station to Haikou Train Station:

By Bus:

If you go by bus from Sanya to Haikou, your will get off at Haikou South Bus Station on longkun road. From there, you could take bus No. 9 and then get off at Xiuying. From there, you could take bus no.37 to Haikou Train Station.

By Taxi:

If you have a lot of luggage, just go by taxi which costs around RMB80/way within 40 minutes. Remember to make a deal with the driver before you get on the taxi.

If you are already in downtown Haikou, please take Bus. 37 and 40 to Haikou Train Station.

Haikou Train Station to Sanya:

BY BUS:

By bus No.37 or 40 to be in Downtown Haikou and get off at Hairu Tomb or Mandarin Hotel, then take a taxi to South Bus Station. Then it is easy to get bus to Sanya at RMB80/person/way within 3.5 hours from 7am to 6pm for every 20 minutes. After 7pm, every hour one bus.

By Taxi:

It is easy to get a taxi from Haikou Train Station to Sanya which costs around RMB400-500/way, but make sure that you make a deal with the driver before you get started.
