There are two airports in
Hainan Island, Haikou Meilan Airport in the north
and Sanya Phoenix International Airport in the South. Flying to
Haikou Meilan Airport for business and Flying to Sanya Phoenix Airport for
beach leisure.
Haikou Meilan International Airport
is the largest airport on Hainan Island, located 25 kilometers away from
downtown Haikou, the capital city of Hainan Province.
It costs USD2/person by Airport shuttle bus to
downtown Haikou and USD5-6/way by taxi to downtown Haikou.
As a
trunk-line of domestic airport, Haikou Meilan AIRPORT is covering an area of
583 hectares. The flight areas facilities meet the 4E standards as required
by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and is designed to
service the landing requirement of large aircrafts, such as: Boeing 747-400.
Additionally,
auxiliary facilities, including parking apron and services infrastructure,
also meet the requirement of international level.

Sanya Phoenix
International Airport is located 15
Kilometers in the west of Sanya. The first flight started on July.1st,
1994. There are more than 40 domestic flights daily and 2
international flights to Hong Kong. If you can’t get the non-stop flight to
Sanya, Guangzhou is the best place for transferring. For international
visitors, Hong Kong is the best place for stop over and continue your trip
to Sanya.
