CHINA. Haikou Meilan Duty Free plans to open China's first airport duty free confectionery shop this July. The 220sq m unit will be among the largest stores dedicated to the category at an Asian airport.
 
Supplied by leading Singapore-based distributor FNA International (which operates The Cocoa Trees brand as a retailer), the boutique will introduce over 500 types of chocolate products from nearly 30 leading brands including Toblerone, Godiva, Valrhona, Côte d'Or, Ferrero Rocher, Hershey’s, Anthon Berg and Duc D'o.
 
Recently, manufacturers of these brands from from Belgium, Italy, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries have begun sales training and testing in the new boutique, to ensure the professionalism of customer service, as they aim to offer the best shopping experience to passengers at Meilan Airport.
