Binglang means Areca, Gu means Valley. Binglanggu is a tourist spot, not a natural village. There are few natural villages, but too far from Sanya ( at least 2.5 hours driving), and the villages are changing very fast. So Caddie has been looking for a new destination where you could experience local Li & Miao minority culture. She was very reluctant to recommend this one until her recent trip with 2 guests which changed her idea on this tourist spot. For sure, it is a site for tourists, but you could still get known the Miao & Li culture from the shows, food, real houses, exhibitions and handcrafts.

Binglanggu is located in the middle of Hainan Island, around 40 minutes driving from Sanya. The big tourists spot consists of 3 parts: Li Village, Miao Village, & Tropical Rainforest. The tour will take like half day (0900-1500) at RMB178/person sharing transportation with others or RMB298/person (minimum 2 persons) with private transportation & admission fee.  An English speaking guide costs RMB500 more.
