Wuzhizhou Islet is a small islet which is located in the north nest of Sanya. It takes around 30 minutes from Yalong Bay, 40 minutes from Dadonghai and 50 minutes from Sanya Bay to get to Wuzhizhou Islet/Island by taxi. The taxi cost is around CNY100 from Yalong Bay, CNY120 from Dadonghai and downtown Sanya, CNY150 from Sanya Bay.

Day Trip to Wuzhizhou Islet at CNY198/person with round trip transfer and entrance fee. Please book one day in advance before 5pm. Departure time is 0830 from Sunny Sanya Family INN. We could also pick up you from your hotel in Sanya Bay, Yalong Bay or Dadonghai Beach. The trip finishes at 0330pm.

If you go on your own, you have to pay for the ferry transfer which costs CNY168/person for return trip. The ferries run from 70:40am to 5pm. The last one to the Wuzhizhou Islet is at 5pm. If you book a room there, you still have to pay for the ferry transfers. Bus No.28 runs daily to Wuzhizhou Islet from Downtown Sanya & Dadonghai Beach, you could catch it on the main roads.

The Wuzhizhou Islet/Island has a total area of 1.48 sq. km. West to East 1.5KM, South to North 1.1KM, the total coast line is 5.7 KM, the highest mountain is 79.9 Meters.

Wuzhizhou Islet was discovered around 100 years ago. The local governor had a temple built for Mr. CANGJIE who created Chinese characters, but nobody really took a good card of the temple. Bu 1920's, local fisherman built a temple to worship Mazu who is believed the god of fisherman. In 1950's, the People's Army occupied the Wuzhishou Islet as a military base. Soldiers who had stationed on Wuzhizhou Islet said they could see US. Nave Fleet on the high seas by telescopes. The China Navy moved away from this islet in 1990's. One local company saw the great potential and started to promote it as the must be places for tourists in Sanya. Now it is a must be for almost all tourists especially group tourists.

Wuzhizhou Islet is a also paradise of wild tropical forest. You could also see over 2700 wild plants including Spindle Tree Firn and Dragon Tree, the oldest plant on the earth. So you could have an idea of tropical rainforest.
