Caddie's Comment: visited Mandarin Oriental twice for site inspection tour. As a luxury hotel, Mandarin Oriental offers everything you need for a beach holiday: well designed rooms with strong local flavors, fine local food, nice pools. The beach is just ok I would say, not a wide sandy beach, but around 200 meters, most area close to Mandarin Oriental are full of rocks, so it is not very easy to swim all over. Mandarin Oriental has a certain area for swimmers. But it is perfect place for snorkeling.

Caddie was invited by Mandarin Oriental once to be a tour guide for hotel guests, so she went with her car, but the guests request child seat in the car, so James Yep, the Room Division Director rented it from another hotel in Sanya and arranged a big van at the same cost. From this, you could see how Mandarin Oriental focuses on guest service. Though Caddie didn't stay with the Mandarin Oriental, but Caddie is very confident to recommend Mandarin Oriental as a top luxury choice in Sanya if Yalong Bay is not your only choice.
