Marriott Resort & Spa Sanya is No.1 recommendation by Caddie Lu among the international resorts on Yalong Bay Beach for its good money value: right on Yalong Bay Beach, international 5 star standard facilities and services, but cheaper rates than other international five star resorts. Marriott Resort & Spa resort has a very relaxing and family friendly style. From the moment you enter into the lobby, you will feel the atmosphere: the cushions, the flowers, then decoration all make Marriott Resort & Spa very relaxing and family feeling. You could walk very relaxed wearing your bikini in Marriott Lobby, but other international five star resort don't provide that feeling. I don't know why. One thing about the rooms: Each double room has 2 queen beds at 1.4 meters wide which is enough for one adult with one child. There are 3 sections on each floor, the B section in the middle of the corridor has better view than section A & B where most grand deluxe ocean view rooms are located. The reception told me that the deluxe ocean view twin rooms have better views than the double rooms. Internet access in all rooms at extra charge of RMB80/day. The 5th floor is non-smoking rooms. There is a small supermarket 2 minutes walking from Marriott Resort & Spa which is much cheaper than the Marriott shops for drinks and snacks.

Kids Care: Excellent facilities for family with children. The Clubhouse has computer games (play station 3/wii etc), an outdoor play area, a kid’s swimming pool with waterslide and numerous board games. The Clubhouse also caters for teenagers and older kids as it has a separate room with darts, air-hockey, billiards and ping-pong. This area is popular with young teenagers who get bored with mum and dad and want to do their own thing- they can often meet other kids and make new friends. Kid’s Cup.: a plastic cup which children can carry with them and get free refills of soft drinks in any resort outlet. So whether at the beach or in the Clubhouse, the cup can be refilled an unlimited number of times, so children will never be thirsty and parents don’t have to worry. A popular Kid’s Menu in Marriott Café which contains dishes that children like (cheaper than main menu).
